Sabudana khichdi is a quick snack made from soaked sabudana (tapioca/sago). It is a dish of choice when an individual observes a "fast" during Shivratri, Navratri, or a similar occasion. It is cooked with roasted peanuts and fried potatoes with generous squeeze of lemon. It has a chewy texture and takes on the taste of its accompaniments.
INGREDIENTS
Sabudana – 1 Cup Peanuts – ¼ Cup Potatoes – 1 Medium Green Chillies – 2 Nos Curry Pata - Handful Coriander Leaves Salt – As per taste Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp/15 gm
METHOD
Take medium size bowl and add Sabudana.
Wash with water twice to remove the starch and soak it in 1 cup of water for 4 hours
Now Sabudana is soft and ready to use
Fry Peanuts and keep it aside
Fry boiled Potatoes until golden brown
Add Green Chillies & Curry Pata
Add soaked Sabudana, fry for 5 minutes
Add Salt, Peanuts, Lemon Juice
Garnish with Coriander leaves
