Eggless Milk Cake | Paal Cake Recipe | Malabar Special Milk Cake


INGREDIENT



Milk Powder – ½ Cup/50 gm

Maida (All Purpose Flour) – 1.5 Cup/200 gm

Khoya (Grated) – 1 Cup/125 gm

Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp/5 gm

Saunf (Fennel Seeds) – 1 tsp/ 5 gm

Baking Powder – 1 tsp/5 gm

Warm Milk


Sugar Syrup:

Sugar – 2.50 Cup/625 gm

Water – 2 Cup/500 ml

Cardamom – 2 Nos.


METHOD

  • In a Bowl add Milk Powder, All purpose flour, Cardamom Powder, Fennel Seeds, Baking Powder and mix well.

  • Add Grated Khoya, Mix and add Ghee and Mix well.

  • Add Warm Milk (around 50 ml) or as required and Knead Well.

  • Knead until you get smooth and soft Dough.

  • Flatten Dough (Slightly Thick) in 9 inch Pan and Cut in to Pieces.

  • Heat Desi Ghee in a Pan for Frying.

  • Fry the Pieces on medium Flame.

  • Fry at low Flame till Golden Brown uniformly.

  • Strain and keep aside.

For Sugar Syrup:

  • In a Pan add Sugar, Water, Cardamom and once sugar dissolved completely then boil for 5 Minutes.

  • Add Sugar Syrup in Paal Cake and Soak for 2-3 Hours (Soak longer for better taste).
