Kheer, Payasa, Payasam is a type of pudding from the Indian subcontinent, made by boiling milk, sugar, and rice. Kheer was a part of the ancient Indian diet and is mentioned in the Ayurveda. Traditionally, Kheer is required to reduce the milk to 30-40% which takes lot of time, so we have created an easy recipe which will take less time, but the taste won’t be compromised so here is our very Delicious and Quick KHEER Recipe!!
INGREDIENTS
Milk - 1.5 liter Rice - ½ cup Sugar - ½ Cup Raisin – 1 tbsp Almond – 2 tbsp Green Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp Milkmaid - 300 ml Pistachio - For Garnishing
METHOD
Pour Milk in a pot and bring it to boil.
Rice soaked in water for 15 mins and add in the Milk.
Once Rice is cooked 90%, add Sugar, Raisin, Chopped Almond, Green Cardamom Powder,
Stir continuously to make a thick creamy consistency.
Add Milkmaid and cook for 10 minutes.
Garnish with chopped pistachio.
