Pav Bhaji is a fast and easy Indian street food dish from India. It consists of a thick vegetable curry served with a soft bread/dinner roll.
INGREDIENTS
Bhaji
Mix Vegetables – 2 cups
Cauliflower – 1 cup
Potato – 2 medium
Water - 2 cups
Salt – 1 tbsp/15 gm
Oil – 2 tbsp/30 gm
Butter -2 tbsp/15 gm
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp/5 gm
Green Chillies – 3 Nos
Onion – 1 medium
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp/15 gm
Tomato – 2 medium
Turmeric – 1 tsp/5 gm
Kashmiri Mirch – 2 tsp/5 gm
Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp/15 gm
Dry mango powder – 1 tbsp/15 gm
Salt – As per taste
Pav Bhaji Masala – 1 tbsp/15 gm
Pav
Butter – 1 tbsp/15 gm
Pav Bhaji Masala – ½ tsp/5 gm
Onion
Lemon Juice
METHOD
Method to prepare Bhaji
Take a pot and add mix Vegetables, Cauliflower, Potato, Water, Salt
Cook for 2-3 whistles, and then mash it well
Cook it further to reduce the water
Heat a Pot and add Oil, Butter, Cumin seeds, Green Chillies, Onion
Once onion start turning brown add ginger garlic paste and Tomato
Cook for 2-3 minutes then add dry masalas
Add Turmeric, Kashmiri Mirch, mix well
Add Coriander Powder, Dry mango powder, Salt, Butter and mix well
Add Pav Bhaji Masala
Once oil start separating add boiled vegetables
Mix well, cover and cook it for 2-3 minutes
Add Pav Bhaji Masala
Mix well, cover and cook it for 2-3 minutes more
Method to prepare Pav
Heat a Pan and add Butter, Pav Bhaji Masala
Spread it and fry the pav/dinner roll
Add Butter and sprinkle some onion
Sprinkle lemon juice and serve it hot
