Easy Goat Sukka / Mutton Sukka Recipe

Goat or Mutton Sukka is an Indian Delicacy made with dry spices and it should be cooked in slow to medium flame. Enjoy this easy Goat Sukka recipe with Naan, Roti or Rice.


INGREDIENTS

Goat meat/ mutton – 500 gm Turmeric - 1 tsp Red chilli powder/ paprika - ½ tsp Coriander powder - 2 tsp Cumin powder - 1 tsp Ginger paste - 1 tbsp Garlic paste - 2 tbsp Onion paste - 1 cup Yogurt - ½ cup Mustard oil - 3 tbsp Whole garam masala (Cinnamon stick, Bay leaf, 4 green cardamom, 2 black cardamom, 15-16 Black peppercorn) Sugar - 1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tbsp Salt as per taste Garam masala - 1 tsp Pure ghee - 1 tbsp Green chilli - 3 no.


METHOD

  • Take a clean bowl with Goat meat/ mutton 500gm

  • Add Turmeric and mix it well

  • Add Red chilli powder/ paprika, Coriander powder, Cumin powder

  • Massage well, Good margination adds flavor and tenderize the meat well

  • Add ginger paste, garlic paste, mix them

  • Add onion paste, mix them

  • Add yogurd, mix all of them nicely

  • Mix well, cover it and keep it in the fridge for minimum 1 hour

  • Take a clan frying pan

  • Add mustard oil, heat the oil to remove the smell of mustard then slow the flame before putting the ingredients

  • Add Whole garam masala (Cinnamon stick, Bay leaf, 4 green cardamom, 2 black cardamom, 15-16 Black peppercorn)

  • Add Sugar

  • Add the marinated meat and cover it for a few minutes

  • Add Kashmiri chilli powder, Salt as per taste and cook it with lid on medium flame,

  • Stir and add water occasionally

  • Add Garam masala

  • Make sure meat is cooked properly, it’s a slow process

  • Add pure ghee

  • Cook for 10 minutes more on medium flame

  • Add Green chilli 3 in no.

  • Serve it hot with rice
