Aloo Tikki / STREET STYLE Aloo ki Tikki Recipe

This video is about Aloo Tikki - Aloo tikki is a snack originating from the Indian subcontinent; in North Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi preparation.

It is made out of boiled potatoes, peas, and various curry spices. "Aloo" means potato, and the word "tikki" means a small cutlet or croquette Ingredients


INGREDIENTS

Filling Grated Paneer - 100 gm Grated Potatoes - 1 small Cashews Chopped - 1 tbsp / 15 gm Raisins -1 tbsp /15 gm Salt - As per taste Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp / 2.5 gm

Aloo Dough Boiled Grated Potatoes - 4 Medium Chopped Green Chillies - 2 Nos Chopped Coriander - Handful Garam Masala - 2 tsp / 10 gm Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp / 5 gm Coriander Powder - 1 tsp / 5 gm Dry Mango Powder - 2 tsp / 10 gm Roasted Cumin Powder - 1 tsp/5 gm Salt - As per taste Cornstarch Powder - 3 tbsp / 45 gm


METHOD

  • Filling Mixture – Grated 1 small boiled potatoes and Paneer

  • Add on Cashews Chopped, Raisins, Salta and red Chilli powder in the bowl and Mix well

Aloo Tikka Dough Preparation

  • Grated 4 Medium Boiled Potatoes

  • Add on Chopped Green Chillies, Garam Masala, Kashmiri Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Dry mango Powder, Roaster Cumin Powder, Salt, Chopped Coriander, Cornstarch Powder and mix well.

  • Spread some oil on palm - Form Dough – BALL SIZED, Flatten it slightly.

  • Shallow Fry- hot

  • Fry both sides – flip over till it’s golden & Crisp brown

  • Spread some beaten yogurt, Tamarind Chutney, Mint Chutney, on it

  • If you like your Aloo Tikki in more sauce then repeat the process

  • Finally Sprinkle Sev and Chaat Masala
