Indian Breakfast Recipes- There is no denying the fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. These breakfast recipes are super simple and yet nutritious to mind and body.

We have always prepared these meals in our breakfast as we had to reach our office by 8 am and everyone knows the mornings are super rush hour and many things goes in our mind.

Whether you make Bread Pizza (Which is a recipe of my mother-in-law), Poha, Moong Dal Chilla, Seviyan Upma, and the traditional South Indian Upma.


INGREDIENTS

Bread Pizza Bread (White or Brown) Onion – 1 Cup Tomatoes – 1 Cup Green Chiles Chopped – 2 Nos Coriander Leaves Chopped – Handful Semolina Fine – ½ Cup Fresh Cream – ¼ Cup Salt – As per Taste Chili Powder – 1 Tsp/2.5 gm Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp/2.5 gm Moong Dal Chilla Moong Dal and Red Masoor Dal – 1 Cup Onion Chopped – ½ Medium Tomatoes – 1 Small Coriander Leaves – ¼ Cup Green Chilies Chopped – 2 Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp/2.5 gm Chili Powder – ½ Tsp/2.5 gm Salt – As per Taste Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp/2.5 gm Namkeen Sevaiyaan

Seviyaan - 1 cup/ 250 gm Dry roast for - 2 minutes Ghee - 2 tsp/ 10 ml Cashew Nuts - ¼ cup/ 65 gm Cumin seeds - 1 tsp/ 5 gm Onion - 1 medium Mix vegetables - 1 cup/ 250 gm Ginger finely chopped - 1 inch Turmeric ­- ½ tsp/ 2.5 gm Kashmiri cilli powder - ½ tsp/ 2.5 gm Garam masala - 1 tsp/ 5 gm Salt - As per taste Water - 1.45 cup/ 375 ml Green chilli slit - 2 nos Coriander leaves handful Poha Poha - 2 cups Peanuts - ¼ cup/ 65 gm Oil - 1 tsp/ 5 ml Mustard seeds - ½ tsp/ 2.5 gm Cumin seeds - 1 tsp/ 5 gm Onion - 1 medium Chilli powder - 1 tsp 5 gm Coriander powder - 1 tbsp/ 15 gm Garam masala - 1 tsp/ 5 gm Dry mango powder - 1 tsp/ 5 gm Salt - As per taste Turmeric - ½ tsp / 2.5 gm Ketchup - ¼ cup/ 65 ml Raisin - 2 tbsp/ 30 gm Green chillis - 2 nos Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp Upma Ghee - 2 tsp/ 10 ml Cashew Nuts - ¼ cup/ 65 gm Mustard seeds - 1 tsp/ 5 gm Urad daal - 1 tsp 5 gm Curry leaves - 2 tbsp/15 gm Onion - 1 medium Mix vegetables - 1 cup/ 250 gm Water - 2 cups Salt - As per taster Semolina - 1 cup/ 250 gm Semolina Green chilli 2 nos

METHOD


Bread Pizza:

  • Take a clean bowl and add Onion, Tomatoes, Green Chiles Chopped, Coriander Leaves Chopped, Semolina Fine, Salt, Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Fresh Cream,

  • Mix all well and make mixture

  • Take bread and spread the mixture on white/brown bread

  • In pre heat pan, put some oil

  • Put the bead on it and add oil and flip it on the other side

  • Now add oil and gently press it

  • Cook each side for 2 minutes

  • Cut it into half and serve it hot

  • Enjoy the crispy bread pizza

Moong Dal Chilla:

  • Soak for 15 Minutes

  • Grind the Dal into a fine Paste

  • Add all the ingredients

  • In a Pan, Few Drops of Oil

  • And Put the Batter and make it a round

  • Cook from Both Sides with little oil and cover it

Namkeen Sevaiyaan

  • In a clean frying pan

  • Dry roast Seviyaan for 2 minutes

  • Keep aside

  • Add ghee and add Cashew Nuts

  • And Roast until it turns light brown and keep aside

  • Add cumin seeds

  • Add onion and fry until its get light brown

  • Add Mix vegetables

  • Cook it for only 2 minutes

  • Ginger finely chopped, Turmeric, Kashmiri cilli powder, Garam masala, Salt as per taste

  • Cook it for a minute and add Water

  • Now Add roasted saviyaan

  • Cover it & Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame

  • Add Roasted cashew nuts

  • Add Green chilli slit 2 nos

  • And Coriander leaves

  • Add ghee

  • Mix all well

  • Serve it hot, enjoy

Poha:

  • Take 2 cups of poha, Wash with some water and keep it aside

  • In a clean frying pan

  • Dry roast the peanuts and keep it aside

  • Now pre heat the oil & add oil

  • Add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds

  • Add onion & Fry until it turns light brow in colour

  • Now add powder, Coriander powder, Garam masala, Dry mango powder & Salt as per taste

  • Dry roasting spices gives much better flavour

  • Add little water internally

  • Add turmeric

  • Add Ketchup, Raisin, Green chillis, Coriander leaves

  • Now add poha

  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame

  • Add Peanuts & mix them

  • Add Green chillis, Coriander leaves

  • Serve and enjoy

Upma:

  • In a clean frying pan add ghee

  • Add cashew nuts

  • Roast the cashew nuts and keep it aside

  • In the same pan

  • Add Mustard seeds, Urad daal, Curry leaves & onion

  • Mix them well & fry

  • Add mix vegetables

  • Add water & salt

  • Slowly add semolina & stir continuously

  • Add green chilli

  • Add ghee

  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame
